An Eye for Eyelets

I looooove eyelet dresses. I think there is something so sexy, yet innocent about them. The peek of skin under delicate layers of frilly deliciousness. Eyelet patterns can vary so much and the way in which they can be used, a little bit of trim to an all over pattern. Day or evening, light or dark. I have a reproduction eyelet sun dress that I just love to wear in the summer (picture above, my husband and I). I love the color and its the perfect (just under tea) length, it has a smocked back and a shelf bust. I love all the details about this dress...and the finishing touch would be if it were vintage. A vintage dress would have thicker straps and then I would not have to wear it with my cardigans in the summer. Hehehehe. I looked through pages and pages of amazing dresses and these are just a few of my favorites...it was really hard to narrow it down this time.
