My 8 year anniversary is coming up (in just 2 weeks from tomorrow) and I wanted to get a special dress to wear. Well I've been drooling over this dress at Jumblelaya for a while now. I've blogged about it a few times before.
I love it! The nautical theme, the colors are perfect its a sun dress with plenty of coverage but it was reserved. :( And it sat reserved for quite a while...too long in fact so I messaged Jen (of Jumblelaya) to inquire about the length of the time the dress had been reserved and that if it was still available I would like to purchase it. Well lucky for me it WAS available! So I've been paying it off (thank goodness she let me make payments, she is really a sweetheart) And I made my last payment last friday.
Well I got it in the mail THIS Friday! My hubs sent me a picture of it and I was just DYING to get home to it! I was so worried it wouldn't fit, I didn't even look at the length of the skirt and even though I'm petite I've seen vintage dresses that would fit even someone 5'4" like myself as above the knee. I actually had a Shaheen hawaiian sun dress that fit me like a mini...Anyway, when I got home I immediately put it on and TA-DA it fit perfectly..quite literally. It is even a little longer in the back than the front (just how I like my dresses to so it isn't caught up on my bum). The shoulders are perfect, the bodice length is perfect. The whole dress fits like it was made for me. I love it!!
It even matches the red belt I bought AGES ago that didn't match anything.
OMG I still need to do a feature on my FabGabs dress and my blog giveaway winnings from Art Deco Dame! I'm such a slacker!

Aw Im happy you finally got it and that it fits so well. I think I remember you talking about this dress before!
that is PERFECT on you and i am so happy it went to a good home where it will be loved and go out and have fun - sometimes it's worth it to ask about an item that's for sure!!
