Dress Week Thursday

Dress Week: Day 4
- I wear ugly things

Admittedly today's outfit is a bit over the top, especially for a day at work. I'm wearing what I call my "ugly" dress because the colors in it don't really go together at all and the first time I wore it my friend told me it was ugly and only I could pull of something that bad...thanks, I guess. But I think its cute, I love the boat and seagull print and I paired it with two crinnies, a cropped cardi and gloves. The belt I bought a while ago but haven't been able to find anything that matches...well I guess I didn't remember this dress because they match almost perfectly! And its kind of ugly too. I love to wear ugly things :)

Sweater: modern, thrifted
Gloves: vintage 50s, thrifted

I just love the nautical theme of this outfit, I think it is a very pretty dress indeed!

I don't think your dress is ugly at all, it's unique and fun! Novelty prints are the best and I have a boat dress my self (although it's from the '70s and not as full skirted as yours).

The accessories work well too-- love the seagull brooch and the rope texture of your belt.

Was the dress really from JCPenney's? Or am I misreading?

One of my favorite things to do in fashion is to make people say "only you could pull that off." One's ugly is another's fabulous, and you totally make all these colors work. HOT MAMA.
