- Ahoy Polyester
I have a strict no polyester rule for my wardrobe. But for some reason I just could not resist this dress. I bought it at one of the estate sales I went to last weekend. It was badly stained and in need of some minor repairs. I had intended it for the shop but now I'm not so sure. I'm really considering deconstructing it to make a pattern so I can make this dress in cotton (and with sleeves). I've never altered a piece of vintage before. Not even to hem it...although for some pieces I probably should. I just love the 40s style of this 70s piece. I dunno. Maybe I should just let it go to someone who will love it as is.
