10 things about my pregnancy

I've been thinking about it and pregnancy is not really what I thought it would be..I mean, I've had a picture perfect pregnancy, really. I feel very lucky but there are still so many things you don't expect...especially if you refuse to read the books..which I do. I've been taking the cave woman approach to pregnancy. I figure, they had no idea what was going on..they went with their instincts so thats what I'm doing too.
So here are
10 things...
I didn't expect about pregnancy...

1. How SLOW the first trimester goes
2. How hard it is NOT to tell everyone in the world once you find out you're prego.
3. That everyone..and I do mean everyone will ask you "how are you feeling" even after the first trimester
4. That you can grow out of maternity clothes...
5. That no one is immune when it comes to stretch marks :'(
6. Being pregnant does actually effect your immune system
7. That I would be hungry ALL..THE...TIME, especially in the 3rd trimester
8. How FAST the final trimester goes
9. That cocoa butter really does work better than regular lotions...go buy some!
10. Nesting is a real thing..and men do it too

there are so many MORE things I didn't expect...but these are the basics I suppose...Pregnancy has been a very interesting experience..and there are only 10 more weeks to go!

I love reading things like this. Everyone is always making pregnancy out to be this all-glorious harmony of life when I know (from my mom) that it's anything but. I like to learn as much as I can from actual women about pregnancy not a book. Thanks for the inside look.

I hear ya lady on the maternity clothes! My tummy was HUGE with Wayland. It was hard to find things that fit and I had to deal with the "you're so big" comments that made me want to throat punch people. You're almost there though!

haha! You're so right about all of those things. Here are 3 things that I didn't expect about having a child
-that you could love someone that much
-that you really are a great mother, no matter how you feel sometimes
-that there is no such thing as a schedule when it comes to babies. They eat, sleep and potty when they want to! :P
Good luck to you. I can't wait to hear all about your little bean!

Looking back on my pregnancies I can so relate to your post. There are many things the books dont tell you...like how much your body can change...your face...I had a friend loose hair and grow an inch in shoe size! The first trimester goes by slow with the first pregnancy but if you decide to have more children its amazing how fast the others seem to go. Its just so beautiful and wonderful and I loved all three and now I am running around after three beautiful people everyday...yes I am tired hahahah Good luck with the last days-I cannot wait to see pictures!! xox

Funny how they never tell you all that huh? And I got massive varicose veins, spider veins, severe morning sickness (all day for first 6 mths)......oh the joys of pregnancy! Lol! But trust me, all that aside, when you hold your gorgeous bubba in your arms for the first time it makes it all worth it ;). Goodluck with the birth :)
BIG hugs!
