Spring Preview

I know its been a while..and the last few updates have been baby-related because, well its just easier to take pics of baby clothes..LOL. Yes i'm admitting i'm lazy. But little mister took an extra long nap yesterday so I was able to shoot actually quite a few pieces for spring. So I'm going to give you a little "preview" right now!

..now when i say little, yes obviously this is a very small preview of things to come...there is SO much more and i've already got a hefty amount of items for autumn too..i know its not even spring yet but autumn is my favorite season.

Enjoy the preview, you'll be seeing these pieces and a whole lot more hitting the shop! Oh and if you're shopping for baby clothes i unloaded 3 huge updates of nothing but baby clothes the past few weeks.

Christmas Shopping - Baby/Toddler

Today we're looking at handmade and vintage gifts for kids (and parents) great for the holidays or baby showers. Oh speaking of baby showers I'm expecting again, due in early June but baby is already measuring a week big. So anyway back to shopping.

Imagination Kids - Handmade

This shop has great deals on handmade wood toys. Boys and girls, all ages. A push car starting at just $6. What kid wouldn't want one of those in their stocking? I plan on ordering Corbin some pieces from this shop for christmas. At those prices, how could I not?

Ms Tips and Little Ms Tips - Vintage

 Technically two shops but owned by the same person so its pretty much just one.
Ms Tips has adorable kid's clothing..like OMG adorable.

and Little Ms Tips has vintage toys and decor. I love these puzzles in their orig box!

FunCreationsLab - Handmade

This shop has a little bit of everything and would be fun for a wide age range.

Nennelv - Handmade

This shop is so fun, lots of creative toys, handmade books, food, learning toys. Great for a family.

There are SOO many toys vintage and new on etsy, I suggest you do some looking. There are lots of vintage fisher price items (ones i played with that i completely forgot about) handmade teethers, rocking horses, hair clips for big girls, blankets, booties, onesies, figurines....
I actually just had to stop looking because i would search for something and get lost going through pages for 20 minutes...So i'm calling this post good.

More Changes

Listings are FINALLY going up form my trip. Last week I added a bunch of cute summery hawaiian dresses and a few matchy summer pieces including this gorgeous Lilli Ann suit..and all the while my hubs has been working hard converting the basement into a shmancy new photo space for me. That guy has been working non stop pretty much since we got back from our vaca. Building a new fence, tearing out the old paneling and putting up new drywall and today he is prepping it to be painted...which he wants to do today! So I thought I would share more pictures of whats going on..and a few of the new photo space. My hubs hung up the background so I could see it.

Ok this is a before shot my hubs took..if you'll remember from my last post, this is where all my clothes and housewares were.

And this is the space now..

That gray is the new color for the shop, I let my hubs pick it because all those color choices are way too overwhelming! There are at least 50 shades of gray (buh dum ching) so he picked out this one, he calls it "grade school paper gray" and it really does look like that non-white paper you get in grade school with the huge lines for when you first learn how to write cursive.

I could'nt resist taking some test shots with the little man, I still haven't put the lights up so this is just with the "daylight" bulbs overhead.

Oh and I got some pics of my organized inventory area too.

 I still have some organizing to do..but at least the big rack is done. Next is accessories.

haha, you can really see the daylight bulbs in action with this shot..and also how unfinished the rest of the basement is..LOL

Next on the list is carpet removal...well actually the carpet in that section is already up and cleaned up..hubs did that yesterday. Anyone who has that photo paper knows that carpet and trying to walk on it..don't mix..so we're looking for some cheap linoleum..maybe at a discount contracting place or something like that..or we'll just paint the floor..either way it'll be photo-ready by the end of the weekend and I'll have to start re shooting the shop..ugh. I need a week off of my other job to work on this job, i swear..but no rest for the wicked so I have to keep going until I can't go no more. haha.

Little Chief: 5 Months

Holy Moly! Where did my baby go? Corbin is 5 months old now, he is wearing between 9 and 12 month clothing, he is trying to sit up on his own...but he gets so excited he just knocks himself over so we usually practice sitting up on the bed. He loves to play with his feet  now and does raspberries like daddy, drooling all over the place. He can suck his thumb whenever he wants and he actually has a sleeping schedule now!!! WHAT?! I know!

It has been CRAZY hot here, like nearly 100 and super humid so it just makes it even more miserable. I do not enjoy heat. I would like to live somewhere that it was 67 degrees all year. But then I would miss having the snow, so you gotta take the good with the crazy nearly unbearable heat. 

I spotted this outfit on etsy before Corbin was born and my dad bought it for him. I LOVE it!

 Its wool, 1950s sweater and shorts set. I was hoping it would fit for thanksgiving..but yeah..I didn't expect to have such a giant boy already.

 also..I love putting him in separates because then his little belly peeks out the bottom..SO CUTE

 His minnetonka mocs fit him pretty good too..they're still a little long but wearable...and how could I not pair them together?!

Dress Week: Day 7

Mostly Modern, Knits...

Well if this isn't a day late...oopsies. Very eventful day yesterday which just means a lot of people came over and I had no time to blog. Which is just fine with me..sorry readers. But here is my outfit from yesterday. A modern wiggle dress with some vintage accessories.

Corbin was wearing an adorable vintage knit yesterday, I fricken loved it! I have been waiting for him to fit into this sweater since he was born, its a little big on him which is good it means i'll get an extra month out of it..YAY! 

He also turned 4 months old yesterday, he is over 17 lbs and 26.5 inches long..the doctor said he was bigger than his 7 month old..hes going to be a big boy. :)

Dress Week: Day 4

Mini Paul Bunyan...

I bought this dress as a reward to myself for after Corbin was born. I neglected to remember my bust would be bigger so i kind of have to "make it work" right now. i think it still looks ok though.I bought this little plaid shirt tight after i found out i was having a boy. I think its darling, it reminds me of his grandpa Jim. Paired with his vintage overalls he is like a mini Paul Bunyan, don't ya think?

Dress Week: Day 3

Neon Pair..

We love colors in this house, tons of bright paint colors..our couch is orange for goodness sakes. So on dreary days like today, cloudy..rainy..just bleh. i like to bring out the bright colors and Corbin joins in too! NEON!!
